The delivery service you are paying for is for either our staff, or one of our delivery contractors, to deliver your goods. Our deliveries are to the kerbside, front garden or driveway only.
Deliveries to the rear garden are available upon advance notice and discussion. We will leave the product in a safe location adjacent to the main roadway, but away from any public highways.
Our Health and Safety Policy and the growing insurance liabilities prevent us from entering your property for access; and should you live in a flat, or a terraced house for example, we will still only be able to deliver to that point of the property adjacent to the road.If we are unable to make a delivery or there is a delay due to access issues, additional costs may incur.
We ask our drivers to be as flexible as they can – but the final decision will remain with them.
We recognise that where the delivery is left can sometimes be a contentious issue. We want you to be happy, but we also want our drivers to be safe and well. Please remember that yours may not be their only delivery of the day and that unloading tonnes of Timber / Concrete products everyday is hard work. Please don’t ask them to carry your goods to the rear of your property. They will try to help, but will have to refuse your request. (Unless other pre-notified arrangements have been made)
We recognise that not everyone will be able to help the driver unload – or even want to help. Our drivers are very friendly and helpful – and will appreciate any extra help offered.
We will also need your help in preparing the delivery site, as well as access to and from it. Try to ensure access is clear so the driver can get as close to your property as possible.
We will leave the product in a safe location adjacent to the main roadway, but off from any public highways. Please ensure that sufficient space is cleared before delivery. We will make delivery with either a 7.5-tonne vehicle or a large van for courier deliveries. Some goods are delivered direct from the manufacturers – they may have even larger vehicles.
If we leave the goods anywhere other than adjacent to the main roadway any liability for damage to any property will be yours. We will not be held responsible for any damage to your property or any claims resulting from where the delivery is left.
We will only deliver to registered residential or commercial addresses. We will not deliver to an unsecured allotment, car park, waste ground etc. What this really means is that if a Royal Mail postman delivers to the address, it is likely that we will too.
We can’t take responsibility or liability for any costs incurred, as a result of any changes to your delivery date. Please book contractors once the delivery has been made.
An additional charge will be levied if orders have to be redelivered. Where goods are returned a fee of 20% of the sales value will be payable. This does not affect your statutory rights.
